  1. I remember a forum from way back that looked like it was in the Beta testing stages. LOL. In fact, I think the word beta was somewhere on the log in page and you could only pull up the forum half the time. Haha! Glad I decided to see if there was one still out there! I remember there was a lot of really cool people on it.
  2. Yes! I do the same. I also have BK playlists for when I want to get revved up and playlists for when I want to chill and mellow out.
  3. I remember a One Minute Pop Song vid where you talked about playing all the instruments and where you ranked your skill level on each. Fun fun.
  4. Oh man, tough question. I think if I had to choose, I’d say piano because the first song I ever heard him play live was Penny on the Train Track and I was hooked forever. At another concert, guitar took center stage and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to (even 10 years later). I can only tie it with a TREVOR Hall concert in Asheville, NC a couple years ago. Very similar energy and intimacy of both those venues and humble, authentic artists.
  5. These photos and videos are great! None of my iPhone 4 photos in my pic library are “shareable” quality LOL
  6. I rawk a pretty solid air guitar to Wasted & Ready.
  7. I like Ardmore Music Hall. I can’t recall the name of the other place in Philly I went to since moving to northern DE last year.
  8. I second that!! DC, Philly (Yes, I was under a rock and didn’t know Philly was happening), Baltimore.
  9. I’m on the search for another BK t-shirt to replace one I had to retire. It was brown with an orange horse on it and I got so many compliments on it!
  10. I’m a little unbalanced for mountain biking. LOL. My husband loves it though. We both are hikers and campers. How’s the mountain biking coming along?
  11. That looks interesting. Seeing the Uno cards reminded me that I do also play UNO on a pretty regular basis, but with my patients/clients. Used to play Uno a ton when I was a teenager. Thanks for the memory!
  12. Anyone else have autographed albums or photos to show off? Got this February 2012. Ben was also kind enough to autograph a CD I purchased (I think it was Ben Kweller album) after a concert in Carrboro, NC at Cat’s Cradle in 2009-ish. I recently moved so I’ll try to find it!
  13. Still play Monopoly and Scrabble with my family when we get together!
  14. I just posted the exact same thing before I saw this!
  15. Cover of Smashing Pumpkins song “Today”. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0B2YQqV7lpw
  16. Oh my gosh, I heard Magic recently somewhere too. Dang, I don’t remember where it was. I think it was 2nd and Charles (a used book store).
  17. Changing Horses is a fantastic album! It had just come out the first time I met Ben when he opened for BNL around 2008. “Some days are aces...some days are faces...and well, some days are 2’s and 3’s...” has been my daily motto. LOL
  18. Garden State soundtrack is what comes to mind at the moment. And all the soundtracks from Star Wars films.
  19. First saw Ben when he opened for Barenaked Ladies at Red Hat Ampitheater in Raleigh, NC around 2007 or 2008 I believe it was. I had never heard of him and was overjoyed with the show he put on. The first song he played was Penny on the Train Track and I was hooked from that moment on. It taught me to not disregard opening acts and from then on, I’ve found a trend of really enjoying the artists I see opening for others. It also spurred me into supporting local musicians and getting out there for live music right in my hometown.
  20. I think Elvis Presley and Creedence Clearwater Revival started it all. My sister and I would put their records on after supper and put on a show for our parents. I was around 4-5 years old. Later, I was mesmerized by all things Prince and the Revolution, Michael Jackson. As time went on, I was drawn to everything from rap to folk to jazz. Nowadays I still have eclectic tastes. On my playlist right now is BK, Trevor Hall, Joni Mitchell, Will Evans, Madonna, BNL, Concrete Blonde, Wyclef Jean, Radical Face, The Doors, 3eb, ....
