I woke up this morning thinking about more soundtracks I love! (500) Days of Summer as a movie hasn't held up amazingly in the last 10 years, but the soundtrack is still such a great mix "Us" (from Soviet Kitsch, 2004) Regina Spektor "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" (from The Queen Is Dead, 1986) The Smiths "Bad Kids" (from Good Bad Not Evil, 2007) Black Lips "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" The Smiths "There Goes the Fear" (from The Last Broadcast, 2002) Doves "You Make My Dreams" (fromVoices, 1980) Hall & Oates "Sweet Disposition" (fromConditions, 2009) The Temper Trap "Quelqu'un m'a dit" (from Quelqu'un m'a dit, 2003) Carla Bruni "Mushaboom" (from Let It Die, 2004) Feist . "Hero" (from Begin to Hope, 2006) Regina Spektor . "Bookends" (from Bookends, 1968) Simon & Garfunkel "Vagabond" (from Wolfmother, 2005) Wolfmother "She's Got You High" (from These Things Move in Threes, 2007) Mumm-Ra
  4. Hey wonderful, weird forum folk-- I am constantly curious about how people stumble across people/places/things that end up becoming deeply impactful in their lives. So, tell me your story. Where were ya the first time you heard BK? What lead you down that musical path?

In terms of more orchestral scores, anything that Jon Brion has ever put his hands on is pure gold-- Eternal Sunshine, I Heart Huckabees, Punch Drunk Love... and most recently Lady Bird

    What are you listening to?

I would definitely give this a listen too: https://courtneybarnett.bandcamp.com/album/the-double-ep-a-sea-of-split-peas -- Avant Gardner, if you haven't heard it, is an honest to goodness classic. (This was all pre-first-album material.)

    What are you listening to?

Was coming here to see if anyone else was listening to this! It's definitely my favorite new release of the year. I've seen her live a handful of times and I feel like she just keeps getting better. Such great rock and roll!

    BK RSD 2018 Release

A friend of mine in Dayton, Ohio was told by his local record store guy today that "he might be getting a few more copies in" -- so my hope is renewed that I won't have to turn to scalpers. Maybe a bkmiracle will occur. @Christopherthat's wild! The things people do for records, I guess. I'm glad she was alright (and that the Sha Sha copy was still there).

    BK RSD 2018 Release

Yes! This! I went to multiple stores yesterday with no luck. All I want is to own one of the key albums to my life's soundtrack. Is that too much to ask?

Sha Sha Record Store Day vinyl release

Was honestly planning on skipping out on RSD festivities this year, but it looks like I'll be up way too early, standing in front of Ameoba. Thanks, Ben!
